Please enjoy my mom’s 2-minute tutorial on alternate nostril breathing, which is said to balance the two sides of the brain and always makes me feel calmer. It’s also a nice way to settle yourself before a meditation practice.
If you’re doing this in the morning, start breathing in the right nostril for a more energizing effect. If it’s evening, start on the left, which is more soothing.
Pro tip: If you have a stuffy nose or are in a public place, you can do alternate nostril breathing in your mind, simply visualizing the inverted V as the breath goes in one side and out the other.
Let me know how it goes.
