Happy Movement Monday!
Too tired to get up and move? This is a lovely midback release you can do in bed. It helps mitigate that hunch we all get from sitting with our electronic devices.
Lie on your side with your head on a pillow. Extend your arms in front of you, palms touching. Keep your gaze on your top thumb as you slowly begin to open the top arm into a twist. You can make the twist small, medium or large, whatever feels best to you. It doesn’t matter how wide you open the top arm, but it does matter that you keep your gaze on your top thumb throughout.
Go slow and remember to breathe. Repeat 3-5 times per side.
This is one of my favorites to unwind before going to sleep. Sometimes I also do it first thing in the morning.
